Ninth Floor

Ninth Floor is a narrative detective game built around the jam theme Degrees of Freedom — not just as a concept, but as the core mechanic. Every step of the investigation literally expands how far you can move: start confined to a single line at the campus gate, earn open ground movement once you're let in, and finally unlock full access to the crime scene itself. Freedom isn't given. It's solved for. Interrogate suspects who each have their own version of the truth — some helpful, some designed to steer you wrong. Gather evidence, solve puzzles to unlock restricted areas, and unfold the truth. One wrong read, one missed contradiction, and the wrong person walks free.
